Dr. King holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Princeton University, a master’s degree in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a doctorate in combined-school clinical psychology from Kean University. Dr. King’s extensive assessment experience includes the completion of a wide range of psychological evaluations in a variety of settings. She has been trained in conducting evaluations of competency and criminal responsibility within the Federal Bureau of Prisons, has completed risk assessments and placement evaluations for the NY State Hospital System, and is currently employed as an admission psychologist for the California Department of State Hospitals, where she completes diagnostic, risk, and competency evaluations on defendants primarily admitted as incompetent to stand trial. With a combined degree in school and clinical psychology, Dr. King has also conducted academic, behavioral, and diagnostic evaluations in university counseling centers and public school districts. Dr. King has been licensed by the State of California since 2015 (PSY 27329).
